The objective of the project is to replace aging water facilities which have a history of reoccurring main breaks in order to improve reliability of distribution system. The Work to be performed under this contract includes the replacement of existing water main, currently located within the Buchanan Street Mall, with 12-inch ductile iron pipe on Webster Street from Grove to Eddy Streets and on Eddy Street from Webster to Turk Streets. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The requirement is set at under 20% in consideration of the fact that this contract includes Contractor procurement of pipeline materials to be installed within the project limits. Pipeline procurement is through a non-LBE supplier and therefore reduces the overall LBE availability on this contract.
