144173 Question Cuttoff Date & Time 11/10/2023 01:00:00 PM (ET) 1.0 PROJECT INFORMATION 1.1 Background The Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota (the "University") is requesting Proposals to provide construction services to correct fire suppression deficiencies at Walter F. Mondale Hall, located on the west bank of the Twin Cities campus (the "Project"). 1.2 Project Description (the "Work") The scope of Work includes additions to the standpipe, sprinkler and fire alarm systems, relocating fire protection equipment, and replacing select sprinkler and standpipe system components as indicated on the attached Construction Documents. The University's project team consists of the Capital Project Management Project Manager and FM District Coordinators/Team Managers. Close coordination with FM staff for building shutdowns, operations, and staff access to building spaces during construction will be required. Burns & McDonnell is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project. 1.5 Critical Project Schedule Dates The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than August 30, 2024. 1.4 Contract Sum The selected Respondent will perform the Work for a Contract Sum that shall be a fixed, lump sum that shall include all costs necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Respondent's overhead and profit. The total construction budget for this Project is $700,000 (current dollars, no escalation).
