According to the mayor, 75% of residents agreed to make this happen — the other percentage believes it’s too much. The mayor of Irondale, James Stewart, said despite the pushback, these new projects are great investments to keep the city moving forward. “I think this is the time. We can’t wait. We have to be able to move forward. We have to be able to be a vibrant city. I truly believe the way to be able to do that is to develop your municipality,” Stewart said.
