Electronic Responses: Electronic responses are required Portland Public Schools ("District") seeks written proposals from qualified vendors able to provide Plumbing - Drinking Fixture Filter Replacement Electronic Responses: Electronic responses are required Notice of Intent to Award 11/28/23 a) Contractor will need to replace over 1,250 drinking fountain/fixture filters at district sites This work will need to be done during the summer months. Work will start on June 1 st and will need to be completed by August 30 th of each year of the contract. b) Current estimation is 3-4 plumbers at 40 hours a week to complete. c) Initial round in summer 2024 will also include barcode replacement on all units. District will provide barcodes and a list of all units and locations in the buildings. d) Plumbers will replace filters and record flow meter readings on digital WO's from tablets provided by the district. 2.1.2 Operate District tablets to scan barcodes for fountains and record flow readings. a) iPad 5's will be provided with district Work Order software to process work orders for each fixture b) District representative will provide tablet/software training before replacements begin. c) District will provide filters for replacement that will need to be picked up from warehouse. 2.1.3 District representative will provide/coordinate strategy for how the work is assigned. a) Plumbers will need to check in weekly and provide progress updates. b) Plumbers will also need to notify District Representative of and functionality issues with fixture so internal PPS maintenance employees can make repairs if needed
