Site work for a mixed-use development in Apex, North Carolina. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of January 11,2024, bid results came in over budget and the County is working through the funding issues. The Project consists of, but is not limited to: Concrete pad, Bus Shelters, and appurtenances at four (4) different bus stop locations throughout Apex as part of the GoApex Route 1 Bus Stop Improvements. In addition, the project proposes the installation of approximately 200 LF of 5' sidewalk along James Street, 625 LF of 5' sidewalk along NC Highway 55, 2.5' curb and gutter, ADA ramps, pedestrian striping, mill and overlay, new curb inlets and storm drainage piping. With request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, and phone and fax numbers for Bidding office; N. C. contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in the Bidding Requirements Section of the Project Manual. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for bids. Wake County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
