Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Swansea, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
In accordance with MGL Chapter 149, the Town of Swansea invites bids from qualified vendors for the demolition and hazardous materials abatement of five structures located at 1100 Bark Street. Some asbestos containing materials (ACM) and other hazardous materials have been identified and must be removed prior to demolition. Bidders must be certified by MADLS as licensed asbestos contractor. A 50% payment bond must be provided at time of execution of contract. Prevailing wage rates apply. The Town of Swansea may cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all bids if cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the Town. Bid award will go to lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The due date for questions has thus been extended from Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. to Monday, November 27, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
