Renovation of a municipal facility in Hillburn, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Please note: Any questions regarding this quote should be directed to Ronnie Ludwig at 845-671-9399. Item Number A-1 - Sealing of Saw Cut Joints: 1. All work associated with sealing joints shall be performed in accordance with the Proposer's approved work schedule and the terms described in this RFQ. 2. The approximate length of expansion joints that have been allocated for sealing is as follows: a. Hillburn Transfer Station - 650 Linear Feet 3. Note that joint sealing work will be paid on a unit cost per linear foot basis. Estimated quantities allow for unanticipated and additional wear to existing joints and Rockland Green makes no representation that the length of joints to seal will be 100% of the estimated quantity. All unit quantities will be adjusted upon completion of the work. Sealing of all joints must first be approved by Rockland Green or their designated representative prior to the start of the repair work (to confirm the need for the sealing and the limits of the joint to be sealed). 4. The contractor shall be responsible for preparing and sealing the joints in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations as applicable to provide an acceptable warranty for the sealed joints. 5. The joints shall be saw cut after the repair mortar has been applied to the damaged joints. Use mechanical means to clean each joint in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. The maximum depth of the joint is recommended to be one half (1/2") inch. Surface must be clean and sound, free of standing water, dust, laitance, grease, curing compounds, impregnations, waxes, foreign particles, and disintegrated materials that can act as a bond breaker. 6. Use oil free compressed air to blow clean prepared joints or high-performance vacuum cleaner to remove all loose material and dust. Use of solvents to wipe clean the joints shall be as per manufacturers recommendations for joint preparation. The concrete surface of the joint shall have a roughened texture prior to filling the joint as per manufacturer's recommendations. 7. Apply Euclid DURAL 340 SL or approved equal sealant into prepared joint until filled (as per manufacturer's recommendations). 8. Finish sealant with tooling to achieve the desired finish. The sealant in the joint should be slightly lower than the surrounding concrete floor with a concave shape in the joint. Contractor shall follow manufacturer's recommendations for storage, mixing, surface preparation, application and curing. Ambient and surface temperature shall not be below 50 Degrees F during the placement and curing of this product. Item Number A-2 - Repair of Tip Floor Joints: 1. All work associated with repairing cracks shall be performed in accordance with the Proposer's approved work schedule and the terms described in this RFQ. 2. The approximate length of joints that have been allocated for repair is as follows: a. Hillburn Transfer Station - 650 linear feet. 3. Note that joint repair work will be paid on a unit cost per linear foot basis. Estimated quantities allow for unanticipated and additional wear to the existing floor and Rockland Green makes no representation that the length of joint repair will be 100% of the estimated quantity. All unit quantities will be adjusted upon completion of the work. Repair of all joints must first be approved by Rockland Green or their designated representative prior to the start of the repair work (to confirm the need for repair and the limits of the joints to be repaired). 4. Surface must be prepared to achieve a surface profile equal to CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) 5-7 in accordance with ICRI Guideline 310.2. 6. Use oil free compressed air to blow clean prepared joints or high-performance vacuum cleaner to remove all loose material and dust. The concrete surface of the prepared area shall have a roughened texture prior to filling the area as per manufacturer's recommendations. All exposed reinforcing shall be coated with Sika Armatec 110 Epocem bonding/anti-corrosion primer prior to the placement of the repair mortar. 7. Apply Sikadur 35 Hi Mod LV Mortar (per manufacturers recommendations) or approved equal into prepared area until filled to establish a complete surface (as per manufacturer's recommendations). 8. Finish repair mortar with tooling to achieve the adequate finish. The material in the joint should not be proud of the surrounding concrete tip floor surface. Contractor shall follow manufacturer's recommendations for storage, mixing, surface preparation, application and curing. Ambient and surface temperature shall not be below 45 Degrees F during the placement and curing of this product. 9. Once the repair mortar has cured, the contractor shall saw cut each joint with an early entry saw with a width of 1/4 " inch and a depth of 1/2"-inch. Contractor shall follow the manufacturers recommendations for saw cutting the joints. Once th Item Number A-3 - Repair of Bunker Wall Joints: 1. The approximate length of bunker wall joints that have been allocated for repair is as follows: a. Hillburn Transfer Station - 154 linear feet. 3. Note that joint repair work will be paid on a unit cost per linear foot basis. Estimated quantities allow for unanticipated and additional wear to existing floor and Rockland Green makes no representation that the length of joint repair will be 100% of the estimated quantity. All unit quantities will be adjusted upon completion of the work. Repair of all joints must first be approved by Rockland Green or their designated representative prior to the start of the repair work (to confirm the need for repair and the limits of the joints to be repaired). 4.
