Renovation of a fire / police facility in Marco Island, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The scope of work (SOW) of this project is to: o Disconnect and remove the existing OASU (i.e., the indoor air handling unit and the air- cooled condensing unit), o Dispose of the existing OASU and all waste generated during the project. o Flush and clean existing refrigerant lines. o Purchase a new AAON indoor air handling unit and a new AAON air-cooled condensing unit or approved equivalent brands, that can fit in the current units' locations. NOTE: The new indoor air handling unit may need to be disassembled and reassembled in place due to opening restrictions in the police building. See in Exhibit 1 the access path to the location of the indoor air handling unit. o Install the OASU, including all necessary components, in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and valid Florida building codes. o Install a new filter in refrigerant lines to keep the new system free of contaminants. o Connect OASU to the existing ducts, hardware, and to the electric supply and control systems. The controls should include a new thermostat. o Charge new system with environmentally friendly and approved refrigerant. o Provide commissioning, testing, and start-up of the OASU to ensure safe and correct operation of the units. o Provide OASU operation and maintenance procedures training to designated City Staff. o Deliver to the City the OASU as-built drawings, manufacturer's installation, operation, and maintenance manuals and instructions. All prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the city of marco island staff or officials other than the specified contact person. Responsible vendor determination respondent is hereby notified that section 287.05701, Florida statutes, requires that the district may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor. The work to be performed in this project comprises furnishing all necessary labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment, materials, permits, and inspections necessary for providing all work to replace the existing OASU, and install a new OASU complying with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards in effect. Plans will be posted to Demandstar.
