The general scope of the work includes but is not limited to: 19-442 New University Student Housing Phase 1: Scope of work includes one residential dormitory building consisting of approximately 106 suites and 371 beds. In addition, there are amenity areas, multipurpose rooms, conference rooms and Housing Department offices at Level 1. There are five levels of non- combustible construction anticipated in the dormitory building. In addition, a one-story Recycling Building and concourse improvements are included. This portion of the project is designed to LEED Silver. 21-358 Quad Residence Halls Renovation Phase 2: Teague & Little Halls: The work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: Selective demolition and selective site demolition for the new work. Interior renovation of Little and Teague Residence Halls, including interior finishes throughout. Interior work includes finish carpentry, doors and frames, gypsum wallboard assemblies, plaster repairs, ceramic tiling, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, interior painting, building specialties, and countertops. Exterior work includes masonry cleaning, partial roof replacement, sheet metal flashing and trim, wood trim replacement, replacement of main entry doors, window replacement, and exterior painting. Site improvements directly adjacent to each hall, to provide accessible routes to each building. Renovations to MEP and FP Systems. In accordance with Code of Alabama, 39-2-2(a), prequalification is required for this project.
