The City of Augusta, Kansas is requesting qualifications from engineering firms and/or individuals to provide professional on-call planning, engineering and consulting type services for the City of Augusta. Projects include multi-faceted engineering, environmental, municipal infrastructure, land acquisitions, pavement design and rehabilitation, grading, drainage, stormwater quality and erosion controls, and utilities. Consultants should be familiar with all Federal, State and Local financial assistance programs including, but not limited to loans, grants and general construction in addition to design requirements and specifications. The firm(s) or individual(s) selected shall assist the City with preparation and submittal of all documents to obtain necessary project approvals in accordance with all Federal, State and Local requirements. The City of Augusta reserves the right to select firms or individuals directly from the Request for Qualifications or request interviews. The selected firm will be used on an on-call basis to expedite work. Contract amounts have not been determined. There is no guarantee that selected firms will be assigned work over the contract period. The contract amount will not be used as outstanding workload. Outstanding workload will only count if work is assigned by the City. The proposed method of payment will be determined at the time of assignment. Qualified firms or individuals must be able to offer planning, surveying, civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, geotechnical and other related engineering specialties for a contract period of four (4) years with two (2) one-year renewals, providing the selected firm or individual consistently demonstrates competency in all areas of services and compatibility with the City's development strategy, goals and objectives.
