Contract consists of the construction of approximately 48 lineal feet of combined sewers, varying in size from 30" to 36" in diameter, and appurtenances to be constructed. Located east of Jefferson Avenue and south of Interstate 64, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. This project is being bid as an immediate need. The selected Contractor must be able to submit certificate(s) of insurance and contract bonds as soon as possible upon notice of contract award, and begin construction within 14 days of notice of contract award. A bid bond is not required to be submitted with the Contractor's bid. As the rate of progress and time of completion are essential conditions of this project, the Contractor shall commence and continuously and actively pursue the work upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall fully complete all work within 120 calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Since the Engineers Estimate is over $50,000, the selected Contractor shall also provide a performance, labor and material payment bond in the full amount of the contract price, executed by a surety or insurance company satisfactory to the District. The attached contract bond (combination performance, labor and material payment bond) can be used. All work shall be warranted for one year after acceptance. The Contractor shall pay at least the prevailing hourly rate of wages for each type of worker needed to execute the contract and also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, all as determined by the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as stated in MSD Wage Order 07-23 and the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Prevailing Wage Rules effective January 01, 2020: or by the Industrial Commission of Missouri, as stated in Annual Wage Order No. 30 Section 096 for St. Louis City and/or Section 100 for St. Louis County; or as determined by General Wage Order MO20230001 09/08/2023, (all of which are attached, as applicable). The District has established a Subcontractor participation Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal of 10.00% utilization for Non-Building Construction contracts in the amount of $50,000 or more. Exceptions will be noted in the contract documents, when required. The District has established a Subcontractor participation Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) goal of 10.00% utilization for Non-Building Construction contracts in the amount of $50,000 or more.
