Stationary Engineering Services for Western Maryland Hospital Center. Employee Shourd be able to start work on approximately November 10th, 2023 The Western Maryland Hospital Center (WMHC), located at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742, is a specialty hospital and comprehensive care facility operated by the State of Maryland, Department of Health (MDH). The WMHC provides a wide range of health and rehabilitation services to include a High Intensity Medical Program and a Comprehensive Care Program. The hospital is currently licensed for 123 beds and budgeted for 55 patients/residents in FY2023 and has approximately 200 employees. The facility is located on twenty-two (22) acres of which five (5) acres are designated as floodplain. There are five (5) buildings on campus with a combined total of 207,099 sq. ft. as follows: Main Building (179,300 sq. ft.) Dormitory Building (12,092 sq. ft.) Duplex #1 (3,534 sq. ft.) Duplex #2 (3,906 sq. ft.) Farm House (8,276 sq. ft.) The WMHC Boiler Room, located within the Main Building, consists of three (3) boilers, each with a rating of 175 horse power. These boilers provide heat, hot water, and steam through the facility. The boilers were originally fuel oil fired, but have been converted to natural gas with the option to convert back to fuel oil in the event that the natural gas supply is interrupted.
