This specification pertains to the address anticipated water levels and flow rates in Blue Willow Creek as it affects construction of the Ruisseau Park project, and provides guidance relevant to construction staging. Blue Willow Creek between Creek Crossing St. and the outlet to Mud Creek serves as an in-line stormwater management pond designed to attenuate flood flows into Mud Creek. This results in a strong backwater effect during rainfall events leading to high water levels. The system has the following outlets: - A 375mm diameter orifice at invert elevation 76.5 which is the primary outlet on the bed of the creek at its downstream limit; - A 450mm orifice at invert elevation 81.0 which is the secondary outlet, and; - A 1m x 1m horizontal outlet at elevation 82.3m - the emergency outlet - The emergency spillway has a crest elevation of 82.75m and is expected to be used only during events exceeding the 1:100 year flood or in the case of blockage of the other outlets Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
