The location and description of the proposed work are as follows: The proposed work is located in Coconino County on US 160 at the intersection of US 160 and Indian Route (IR) 21 in Tonalea town within the Navajo Nation. The proposed work consists of installation of flashing signs, rumble strip, pavement marking and other related work. This project is located on a Native American Reservation, in the Navajo Nation Reservation, which may subject the contractor to the laws and regulations of the Navajo Nation Reservation and its TERO office. Contractors are advised to make themselves aware of any taxes, fees or any conditions that may be imposed by the Navajo Nation Reservation on work performed on the Reservation. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in this contract will be 45 working days. To submit a valid bid, the bidder must (1) have prequalification from the Department as necessary for the project, and (2) be included on the project Plansholder List as a Prime. The Application for Contractor Prequalification may be obtained from the Contracts and Specifications website. A proposal guaranty in the form of either a certified or a cashier's check made payable to the State Treasurer of Arizona for not less than 10 percent of the amount of the bid or in the form of a surety (bid) bond for 10 percent of the amount of the bid shall accompany the proposal.
