Renovation of a water / sewer project in Helper, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: (1) Recoating the interior of the City's three culinary water tanks. This work includes blasting and surface preparation and recoating the interior of the tanks. (Only one tank at a time will be allowed to be taken out of service for recoating.) (2) Overcoating the exterior of the City's three culinary water tanks. This work includes pressure washing the exterior tank surfaces and the application of an overcoat paint system. (3) Coordination with the cathodic system installer for replacement of the internal components of the cathodic system for each tank. (The cathodic system replacement will be by others, under a separate contract.) (4) Providing temporary water system facilities to maintain water service to 5 homes while the Castle Gate Tank is taken out of service for recoating. (5) Disinfection of the tanks after they have been recoated. (6) Testing lead concentrations and other potentially hazardous constituents of existing coatings. The Contractor is fully responsible for disposal of coatings and any lead abatement if required.
