The Nathaniel Drake House seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in or have subcontractors who specialize in masonry restoration, exterior siding, trim restoration, exterior surface preparation, painting of historic surfaces, and window and door restoration. Partial Exterior Restoration of the Nathaniel Drake House 602 West Front Street Plainfield, Union County, New Jersey 07060 The project generally consists of the following: 1. Repair of slate roofing. 2. Installation of lead-coated copper flashings. 3. Installation of historic types of roof drainage systems 4. Finish carpentry repair involving exterior siding and trim. 5. Surface preparation and painting of historic surfaces. 6. Wood window and door restoration. All respondents will be notified in writing of the decision as to qualifications. Only those determined to be prequalified Historic Restoration General Contractors for this project will be invited to submit bids for the work. This property is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places.
