The project consists of the removal and replacement of guardrail, striping, and a sign on County Road 16 for approximately 550 LF of roadway. Major items include embankment, unclassified excavation, base course, asphalt, signing, guardrail, and traffic control as well as other supporting items. All necessary documents including bids sets, specifications, addendum and any addition information will be placed on the web page. These documents will be under the specific project name. It shall be the responsibility of all firms and contractors to check the web page and download the appropriate documents including all addendums. No notice will be sent informing contractor's and firms that there is new information or addendums. This is the responsibility of the individual firms and/or contractor's. There is no Pre-Bid for this project The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, as determined by the statement of qualifications and the bid, which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to accept the bid or any portion of the bid by a competent bidder that will result in the lowest cost to the County. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any portion or all bids without disclosing the reason therefore. Bidder shall submit documentation of pre-qualification meeting the requirements included in the project specifications or as follows: for transportation projects, bidder shall submit documentation showing they are colorado department of transportation (cdot) pre-qualified in the discipline of general construction, grading (general), aggregates, paving (general), bituminous concrete, guardrail, construction traffic control (cdot work code #01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 14, 17). Such pre-qualification shall be in a dollar amount equal to or exceeding the dollar value of the submitted bid. Documentation of pre-qualification will be required to be submitted with the bid. Bids from bidders that do not meet the pre-qualifications requirements may be considered a non-responsive bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of Mesa County, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids. All bids must be submitted in writing on the forms provided, and must be signed by the bidder or his duly authorized agent. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
