The City of Greenville is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the repair of the Cancer Survivors Park Boardwalk System. All work shall occur at Cancer Survivors Park (CSP), located approximately at 52 Cleveland St, Greenville, SC 29601. The Project involves removal and replacement of existing tread surface, repair of handrail, and repairs to substructure as deemed necessary. The Primary Project Scope Items Include but are not limited to: o Permitting, encroachment, and staging permissions as needed o Site preparation o Pathway closures and detours o Removal of entire existing wood tread surface o Removal ofselect handrail sections o Removal and storage of existing benches (2 metal, 4 wood) o Weather treatment, staining, and skid resistance applications o Replacement of entire wood tread surface o Replacement ofselect handrail sections o Repairs to substructure as deemed necessary o Site cleanup o Coordination with City of Greenville, Engineer of Record, and Cancer Survivors Park Alliance (CSPA) o Other items as outlined in the available drawing and specifications package or otherwise needed to complete the project for operations as intended The project will be administered and managed by the City of Greenville with technical assistance and inspections from Consor Engineering. The contractor chosen to complete the work will be responsible for providing all materials and labor needed to complete the project as designed and intended. All materials are to be installed in accordance with manufacturer requirements to ensure longevity and to maintain applicable warranties. It is the contractor's responsibility to visit the site and review all construction plans priorto bidding. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining any and all permits necessary for construction prior to commencing work. The Contractor will be responsible for scheduling all inspections necessary to complete the work in accordance with issued permits
