Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Ojai, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
Demolition of existing stadium fixtures in two phases. Bid either or both. Lowest bidder prevails. May be awarded separately. Phase 1 - Removal of bleachers and fencing Phase 2 - Removal of concrete elements on hillside. Hillside and retaining wall to remain RFI Deadline 11/29/23 Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders. In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000.00, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: California Contractors B License B License (with C-27 Landscaping License for subcontractor) or C-27 Landscaping License. The Contract Time is 45 days security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid, payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required Phase 1 The scope of work for the stadium demolition will be broken down into 3 phases. 1. Remove fencing, bleachers, announcer's booth and anything not concrete from the stadium viewing area. 2. Remove all concrete surfaces from the viewing area, exclude the East retaining wall. 3. Mitigate the hillside damage and compact per Civil design yet to be determined All quoted dimensions are to be field verified by the contractor prior to bid. The specific tasks to be performed are listed below. 1. Remove hand rails at North and South access stairways. - Approximately 55 Lin. Ft. each 2. Remove fences at: a. South Hillside - 32 LF b. North Hillside - 32 LF c. West Upper walkway 6' high - 300 LF d. West Upper walkway 4' high - 300 LF e. Front (East) fence at foot of bleachers - 225 LF f. Guard Rails around light posts 3. Remove and demo announcers stand (2 story) a. District to remove announcer equipment and any IT connections 4. Remove and demo bleachers (aluminum seats, wooden steps, rails etc) 5. Remove miscellaneous wood from area leaving concrete in place only 6. Install a temporary fence separating school property from the meadow 7. Remove and discard all items demolished from the stadium Provide portable toilet facilities and hand washing stations for the duration of demolition and removal Work hours limited to 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. School student activities may disrupt the hours of type of work to be performed. Weekend work only on approval. Phase 2 - Demo concrete surfaces No Track access without adequate protection of surfaces. Contractor responsible for any track damage. Contractor responsible for field measurements in final bid. 1. Protect in Place - Front retaining wall 2. Demo upper retaining wall - 300 LF 3. Demo upper sidewalk - 300 LF x 11' wide 4. Demo South and North stairways 55 LF x 9' wide 5. Demo Slab on grade - 225 LF x 40 LF x 6" nominal thicknes Remove all concrete and debris from site Provide portable toilet facilities and hand washing stations for the duration of demolition and removal Work hours limited to 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. School student activities may disrupt the hours of type of work to be performed. Weekend work only on approval.
