Site work for a transportation facility in Norwich, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The project generally includes the removal of existing AWOS sensors and equipment, and replacement with new AWOS III-P sensors and equipment, as well as replacing UHF and VHF antennas and radios, replacement of AWOS processing computers in an aircraft hangar, and replacement of AWOS monitoring computer and display in the Airport Administration Building. The AWOS equipment and sensors will be removed and replaced utilizing the existing AWOS infrastructure such as concrete footings, 30' AWOS tower and existing conduits and pull boxes. This project includes work in the airport electrical vault, which is located on the south side of the airport's jet hangar. The execution of the construction Contract is dependent upon the receipt of an FAA grant offer and is expected no earlier than December, 2023. This Contract does not allow for price escalation in unit bid items. The Contractor shall take this into consideration when preparing unit prices for bidding. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal.
