Yellowhead County is seeking the services of a consultant to conduct a pavement assessment and update the pavement management system for its paved local road network, establishing maintaining existing pavement management system (PMS). The county currently has approximately 300 km of road ban-free paved roadways. The County's last pavement condition assessment was conducted in 2023. At that time the pavement roughness, rutting and pavement distress was rated. The plan is to conduct these pavement condition assessments annually. This regular assessment schedule not only provides a solid foundation for time-series analysis but also offers crucial data for the annual operating and capital budgets. The paved road inventory has increased substantially in recent years primarily due to progress on the County's Collector Road Network Program. The goals of this program are to: o eliminate road bans o connect paved roads o reduce conflict between industrial users and adjacent residents o enhance future economic growth The objective of this RFP is to solicit Proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide pavement management services to Yellowhead County. The proposal shall be for a total of three (3) years, starting with a contract for three (3) years, there is a possibility of extending the contract for an additional three (2) years on a yearly basis, subject to performance of consultant and circumstances. Yellowhead County (the County) is located in the Alberta West Central Region and encompasses an area of approximately 20,238 km2. The County is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 300 km of paved road. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
