Modular Building is approximately 4,312 square feet and contains (3) TK Classrooms. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. This Project requires prequalification pursuant to AB 1565 of all general contractors and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors. If required, Prequalification can be completed using the online prequalification system at www.qualitybidders.com. A bid package will not be accepted from any bidder that is required to submit a completed questionnaire and supporting documents pursuant to AB 1565, but has not done so at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids or that has not been prequalified for at least five (5) business days prior to that date. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Bakersfield City School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work.
