Site work for an educational facility in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a 4,228-square-foot educational facility.
A. Construction of: 1. Two (2) new outdoor learning areas. 2. New pc approved (A#04-119455 PC) fabric shade structures and engineered steel lunch shelters. 3. Provide new privacy stalls within the existing boys and girls locker rooms and upgrade the adjacent student restrooms to be ADA compliant. 4. Provide two (2) new ADA compliant water bottle fillers/ drinking fountains. B. General alterations to: 1. Provide ADA upgrades for path of travel to and from the administration building to the new outdoor learning area. 2. Provide ADA code compliant path of travel to the main entrance of the administration building. 3. Provide ADA upgrades to the adjacent restrooms to the new privacy stalls located in the boys and girls locker room East Bakersfield High School: ESSER III Outdoor Learning and Privacy Areas State law and regulations adopted by the Office of Public-School Construction required that State-funded programs have participation goals of three (3) percent for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) as defined in Public Contract Code 10115.1. To be considered, a firm or person(s) is required to meet the goal or to make a good faith effort to meet the DVBE participation goals as specified in the regulations This project is a prevailing wage project. Owner has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded (CONTRACTOR), and upon any subcontractor, to pay not less than the specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
