Site work for a water / sewer project in Summerton, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Town of Summerton is issuing this Request for Qualifications to identify a qualified civil engineer to provide a full range of engineering services to support the implementation of the Goat Island Sewer System Improvements. These services will be provided under contract with the Town of Summerton, with funding provided by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority through the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program. As of July 28, 2025, per owner, the project has been awarded in two divisions. Base Bid Division “A”: Construction of 41,000-LF of 6" sewer force main via a combination of open cut, bore and jack, and horizontal directional drill. Project also includes air release valves, plug valves, fittings, connections, pavement repair, sediment and erosion control, landscape restoration, and all necessary appurtenances as specified and depicted in the Contract Documents. Base Bid Division “B”: Decommissioning and demolition of the existing Goat Island WWTP including associated site work and restoration. Construction of three (3) new sewer pump stations. The pump stations include gravity sewer tie-ins, site work, duplex submersible pump stations, and associated piping, electrical, equipment, and all necessary appurtenances as specified and depicted in the Contract Documents.
