Renovation of a power facility in Lenox, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The general nature of the goods and special services are: Furnishing and setting in place one new 5 MVA Substation Transformer. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Chapter 26, Section 26.8, and as specified by Lenox Municipal Utilities, in the amount fixed in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100 percent) of the contract price, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the Lenox Municipal Utilities Board and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment for all materials and labor and protect and save harmless Lenox Municipal Utilities from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of Contractor. The Contract Times shall commence on the thirtieth day after the Effective Date of the Agreement and the Goods are to be delivered to the Point of Destination and ready for Buyer's receipt of delivery on (or within a period of 45 days prior to) August 14, 2025. If the Goods are not delivered within the times specified, Seller shall pay Buyer $500 for each day that expires after the time specified.
