This project has been completed. Harbor Sanitary District Pump Station #1 Emergency Project Each contractor submitting a proposal shall assume full responsibility for timely delivery of the proposal to the District. Proposals submitted after the specified time on the due date will not be accepted and will be returned to the proposer. Firms submitting proposals accept all risks of late delivery of mailed or couriered submittals regardless of fault. Pre-Qualification: Yes Harbor Sanitary District is seeking qualified contractors to submit a proposal to replace the discharge elbow on pump 4 at the District's pump station #1 in addition to the removal and replacement of one (1) 8" knife valve located at the Southeast corner at Lower Harbor Rd. and Shopping Center Ave. in Brookings, Oregon. The proposal should include a breakout of costs for each part of the project and a time and materials cost for any necessary repairs not seen at the time of the initial evaluation and bid is submitted. A general outline of the scope of work is described below and should be used as a guide by prospective proposers in developing a proposal. PRIMARY WORK: A. Remove oThe grout below the removed existing elbow should be chiseled away and the anchor bolts removed. The Contractor shall provide a single or double bypass pump capable of 500 gpm at no less then 145ft of total dynamic head. A backup pump is not needed as the wetwell can be used again by pulling the plugs and using the large pumps if more time is needed for pumping down and repairing. Work shall be completed during daylight hours by shutting the wetwell slide gate and bypass pumping out of the old wetwell. oRemove the existing 8" Knife Valve as shown in the plans. B. Repair oThe anchor bolts may have been grouted in place due to concrete damaged. Contractor shall inspect base and recreate a smooth anchor base to reinstall anchors if necessary. The bolts shall be reinstalled that they are removable by District staff in the future, not permanently grouted in. If replaced, new epoxy anchors shall be set by predrilling holes and inserting stainless 416 threaded rods. C. Replace o Install the new base. The base will be mated up the existing discharge piping. The new pump shall be set on the guide rails and tested. o Install new 8" Knife Valve as shown in the plans.
