For questions and comments requiring clarification only: Noon Wednesday prior to bid opening. Contract time of Project. The project shall be completed and usable by the public by May 6, 2024. Payment for the bid items will be as a lump sum amount based on plans and specifications in the bid proposal. A Bid Bond in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) Of the Total Bid or an Annual Bid Bond is Required Prior to Bid Opening. Contractor is responsible for preventing damage to existing site amenities including existing grades and field conditions. Any damage, including unacceptable turf damage or paver damage, is to be repaired by contractor. Special attention shall be taken to protect existing trees on site. Any damage to trees shall be assessed at $100 fine per square inch of damage to any tree trunks. If tree is disfigured and life expectancy is compromised or terminated, contractor is responsible for replacing the tree at equal or greater size or assessed value. This does not apply to trees being removed as part of the construction documents. Start Date. The work order on this project shall be issued 20 (twenty) days after award of contract to the successful bidder.
