Corte Madera Library Path of Travel, Restroom Upgrades, EV Charging and HVAC Improvements County. Project Description: Bid item 1 - The project entails path of travel improvements including and not limited to concrete path on grade, wood deck and boardwalk, patio area with concrete pavers, concrete sidewalks, concrete steps, driveway alterations and paving, curbing, required signage, path lighting, metal railings, and landscaping; Restroom ADA upgrade and interior improvements including ACM abatement; Two new electrical vehicle chargers, retaining wall, landscape grading lighting and planting, associated electrical signage and paving work and grinded, overlay AC and re-stripe additional section of parking lot; the Rental of luxury restroom trailer, per the plans and specifications. The HVAC improvements Bid Item #2 include and are not limited to: the removal of original boiler and hydronic heating elements, procurement of equipment, construction of new drywall soffits, installation of new electric HVAC system, installation of smoke dampers and sensors, connected to existing fire alarm panel, installation of makeup air fan systems and sensors, sheet metal, dry wall and plywood, patching and painting and painting of affected areas, plumbing and electrical alterations as need including ACM removal per the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "B" General Building Contractors License at time of bid submittal. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. The provisions of California Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. This project is to be advertised pursuant to Public Contract Code 22037. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the California Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates for Marin County where the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at the Department of Public Works.
