CDA serves as the City of St. Louis's clearinghouse for federal, state, and local funds. The CDA works to drive economic justice and further develop, transform and empower the City of St. Louis by funding a wide range of public and nonprofit entities to provide public services, build affordable housing, combat blight, and conduct various other community development activities. CDA promotes neighborhood growth and stabilization through community development, social services, and the production of new and rehabilitated housing - especially for low and moderate income people. To accomplish its mission, the CDA is divided into three main divisions: the Fiscal Division, Compliance Division, and the Housing Division, which includes the Housing Programs and Residential Development sections. CDA administers over $200M in federal funds. These represent a once in a generation opportunity to reverse decades of disinvestment in marginalized communities, and will help drive the Mayor's Economic Justice Agenda to Empower, Develop & Transform St. Louis. The primary goal of the Community Development Administration's Housing Division is to promote neighborhood growth and stabilization through community development and the production of new and rehabilitated housing, especially for low- and moderate-income people.
