The Davidson County School System will be receiving formal bids for the roof replacement(s) as associated with the following projects... * BASE BID: Silver Valley Elementary School, 11161 E Old US Highway 64, Lexington, NC 27292 * Alternate I: Wallburg Elementary School, 205 Motsinger Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27107 * Alternate II: Welcome Elementary School, 5701 Old Hwy 52, Lexington, NC 27295 Scope(s) of Work Silver Valley ES (Cafeteria & Gymnasium) The work will consist of providing a metal retrofit framing and roof system over the existing Cafeteria & Gymnasium roofs at this school. The project has a combined roof area of approximately 14,829 SF, total (7,777 SF, Cafeteria & 7,052 SF, Gymnasium). Welcome ES (Arts Bldg.) The work will consist of providing a new standing seam metal roof (SSMR) system over the existing shingle roof, and to include a retro-fit & SSMR over the small low-slope peak roof area. The project has a roof area to total approximately 3,850 SF. Wallburg ES (Classroom Pod) The work will consist of providing a metal retrofit framing and roof system over the existing single-ply EPDM roof system associated with the school's classroom pod structure. The project has a roof area to total approximately 7,728 SF. A 5% bid bond will be required with the bid, and a 100% payment and performance bond will be required from the selected bidder. All bidders must have appropriate licensing in North Carolina with either a General Contractor's license with the proper financial limits, or Specialty Roofing, plus a Specialty Metal Erector license with proper financial limits.
