All correspondence and questions shall be addressed to ieanie@rbsdesigngroup.com Project Description: The project consists of construction of a new football stadium, including 4,450 SF one story football field with turf 8-lane track, field event areas, grandstands, athletic building, tennis courts, baseball field improvements at the existing field, new 690 SF two story baseball press box, related stormwater and utility infrastructure and an alternate bid for parking lot expansion. The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, dewatering, earthwork, termite control, water distribution, sanitary sewerage, trenching and backfill, subdrainage, st01m drainage, storm sewerage systems, asphalt paving, asphalt tennis court surface color coating system, chain link fences and gates, precast modular block retaining wall, lawns and grasses, base construction and related sub-surface work for artificial grass field, infilled synthetic turf system, infield mix for baseball, track striping, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, cold formed metal framing, metal fabrications, steel handrails and railings, rough carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, building insulation, spray polyurethane foam insulation and air barrier system, open cell spray polyurethane foam insulation, standing seam metal roof panels, formed metal wall panels, siding, soffits, sheet metal flashing and trim, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, access doors and frames, aluminum-framed entrances and store fronts, aluminum windows, door hardware, glazing, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient wall base and accessories, linoleum tile floor coverings, resilient athletic flooring, painting, visual display boards, toilet compartments, flagpoles, signs, post and panel signs, metal lockers, fire protection specialties, protective covers, toilet and bath accessories, sports equipment, track & field football equipment, grandstand seating system & pressbox, outdoor benches, mechanical, plumbing and electrical, and clean-up and removal of construction debris. Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents. Checks covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Metcalfe County Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check. Electronic copies of the documents are available from Maco/Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, IN. (812-464-8108). Charges to obtain electronic copies are non-refundable and are to be arranged with, and paid directly to, Maco/Evansville Blue. Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids. Partial sets of documents are not available from the office of the Architect. The Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, the Mechanical/Electrical Engineers. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the Metcalfe County Schools. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days therefrom. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. Please refer to specification sections 00220 and 00450. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. All mailing charges (non-refundable), ifrequired, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
