1.This is a Request for Proposal for the purchase and installation of one outside walk-in Refrigerator/Freezer with floor at Central Park Elementary 1400 Rodd St, Midland, Mi 48640. 2. The contractor is responsible for the purchase of any installation materials above and beyond what is provided by the manufacturer to safely install specified equipment. 3. The contractor is responsible for the removal of all scrap from the installation of the freezer. 4. This is a turnkey installation; freezer must be fully functioning at the end of installation and signed off by the district before final payment is made. 5. All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing hook-ups are to meet all State codes and to manufacture specifications. 6. Contractors must field verify all measurements and meet with the districts representative to clarify all work to be performed. 7. Drawings provided by the district are to be considered a guide to follow. Cut sheets should be provided by the successful contractor for final approval by the district. Any changes to the specifications above must be included in the final RFP. Changes must be approved by the district before consideration by the Board of Education. 1. The purchase and delivery of a KOLPAK(R) 8'X22'X7'6" walk in Refrigerator/Freezer or equivalent manufacture. 2. Setup and installation of Refrigerator/Freezer to include condensers. 3. All electrical, mechanical, and plumbing associated with installation. Specifications: o KOLPAK(R) 10'x12'x7'6" walk in freezer with outside condenser. o Panels 5" thick in Softnose construction configuration o Cam locks between panels o Adjustable door hinges o LED internal lights o Coved corners on floor panels o Heated air-vents to eliminate vacuum and pressure build-up. o Digital temperature control with Wi-Fi monitoring o 208/3 phase power o Schroeder Refrigeration o Flooring approved for up to 1,000 lbs. per sq. ft. uniform load. o Metal shelving units provided as indicated in drawings. o Strip Curtain on outer door. o Successful vendor must be able to perform all manufactures warranties and carry a one- year warranty on installation. o Inside ramp The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all item(s) in the bid; to accept or reject any or all bid(s); to waive any informalities therein; or for any reason, to award the contract to other than the low bidder. If a unit price or extended price is obviously in error and the other is obviously correct, the incorrect price will be disregarded. All bids shall be firm for ninety days (90) from the date of the bid opening. All bids must include a signed "Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification" a "Familial Relationship Disclosure" form and "Compliance with School Safety Initiative Legislation". A Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in Michigan in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany each proposal or proposal combination. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are not acceptable. The work shall start within one month of receiving a district purchase order and be completed within six weeks from the start of work. The start date may be extended due to a delay in taking delivery of required equipment, but all work must be completed by June 5, 2024.
