The City of Miramar is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to furnish all material, equipment, labor, and any incidentals needed to complete the project. The project includes the purchasing, removal of Tanks # 3 & 5 and installation of (3) three New FRP 3,700-gallon tanks. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality in a bid/proposal and/or in the bidding/selection process, and to make awards, if awarded, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder/offeror as deemed in the best interest of the City. Contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the (2) existing tanks (Tanks # 3 & 5). Contractor will be responsible for the removal of existing concrete pad and for the construction of new concrete pad for each tank to meet the weight requirements to support 31,000lbs. Contractor will be responsible to supply all plumbing materials for connection to existing Sodium Hypochlorite lines. All valves and fittings for connections to be CPVC. All Hardware used to be 316 Stainless Steel. Contractor will be responsible to supply New Level Transmitters and Sensors for each tank, which will also include installation of all electrical connections for new transmitters and sensors and assure for accuracy at start up. (Transmitters to be Siemens Sitrans LUT-420 and XRS-5 Sensor) SAME IN KIND. NO SUBSITUTIONS. Contractor's, please review attached Specification sheet from Augusta Fiberglass: AFC REF #92267 (2206-34) HN Project Ref: Same as AFC Job # W86037 (SAME IN KIND AS TANKS #4, #7 and #8.) NO SUBSITUTIONS. All tanks should include warranties. PROJECT LOCATION: The Project is located at (WWRF) Wastewater Reclamation Facility 13900 Pembroke Road, in the City of Miramar, Florida 33027 COMPLETION OF WORK: The commencement date shall be established in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall commence the Work within 10 Days from the commencement date. The Work shall be Substantially Complete within 120 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. The Work shall be Finally Completed for full acceptance by the City within 150 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. Ten weather Days or rain Days are included within the overall Contract time of 150 calendar Days. Contractor's Project schedule shall provide for 10 inclement weather delay Days during the interval from the Notice to Proceed until Substantial Completion. BID SECURITY: When applicable, bids shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond, in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid Price, payable to the City of Miramar, Florida, as a guarantee that the Bidder, upon acceptance, will promptly execute the Agreement and complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Total Bid Price stated in its Bid submittal. Bids shall not be considered unless one of the previously stated forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with the Bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in the Solicitation process, to award certain areas or all the Work to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder and as deemed in the best interest of the City.
