Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Woodbridge, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Town of Woodbridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, or to waive defects in same, or to accept any proposal, or part thereof, deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Woodbridge for whatever reason. This request for bid does not necessarily contemplate an award based solely on price. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall secure and pay for the building permit as well as for other permits, fees, licenses, and inspections by government agencies necessary for proper execution and completion of the Work that are customarily secured after execution of the Contract and legally required at the time bids are received or negotiations concluded Driveways, Walkways and Entrances: Keep driveways parking garage, loading areas, and entrances serving premises clear and available to Owner, Owner's employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of materials. As indicated on Drawings, construction of new wood-framed building on existing concrete slab/foundation, including, but not limited to, siding, asphalt shingle roofing, interior and exterior doors and associated hardware, sectional overhead doors, interior stairway, and associated railings. Bid security payable to the Town of Woodbridge is required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid proposal and shall be in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond. Bid Bonds must be AIA Document A310 or comparable legal bond form, issued by a Surety Company licensed in Connecticut A performance and payment bond in the full amount of the Contract is required and shall be included in the bid price. AIA Document A311 or comparable legal bond form shall be used as the form for the bond, except that such bond must be consistent with Supplementary Instruction to Bidders. Question Deadline 03/27/2024 at 4:00 PM ET State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) under the provisions of CT General Statute 4a-60g. (25% of the total state-funded value with DAS certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned businesses.) The Contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the twenty-five percent (25%) set-aside goals.
