This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation from the Town of Smiths Falls to prospective bidders to submit a proposal for Confederation Drive River Crossing - Bridge Replacement - Design Build for a Timber Pedestrian Bridge. Bidders must include an Agreement to Bond completed by their Bonding Company, and it must be submitted with their Proposal, to validate their bid. A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the construction portion of work (not to include the design portion costs), including Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) must be furnished by the Contractor, prior to execution of a contract by the Corporation. A Labour and Materials Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the construction portion of work (not to include the design portion costs), must be furnished by the Contractor, prior to execution of a contract by the Corporation Question Deadline: Fri Aug 16, 2024 11:00:00 AM (EDT) MILESTONES: -Project Award and Execution of Contract: September 24, 2024. -Existing Bridge Superstructure Removal: October 18, 2024. -Foundation Construction Complete: November 29, 2024. -New Bridge Superstructure Erection: April 25, 2025. -Project Complete: June 27, 2025.
