Renovation of a municipal facility in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work: Mount Pleasant TSC - Fire Alarm Replacement DTMB File No. 591/23468.JGH includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Full replacement of existing fire alarm system within the office area of the Transportation Service Center. This includes both replacement of the alarm system and the replacement/upgrade of the existing sprinkler heads and the addition of new sprinkler heads at overhead door locations to meet current building codes. The site is located 1212 Corporate Dr, Mount Pleasant, MI 48858 The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) intends to hire a project team to fully execute a Design Build approach for upgrade of the fire alarm system and partial replacement of the sprinkler heads at the Mount Pleasant TSC. Interested bidders shall include Phase 500 services necessary to document design and construction options for agency approval, final design for improvements for agency approval permit approval along with Phase 700 services necessary to provide the installation of the designed equipment and construction administration. The fire alarm system requires a full replacement, including panel and sensors. The existing associated sprinkler system requires replacement of antiquated sprinkler heads as well as the addition of new sprinkler heads above overhead doors in order to meet current codes.
