New Braintree Grade School Heating System Boiler Replacement and removal and disposal of existing boiler. Supply the necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following: 1. Prepare and set up for the project by using temporary signs, barriers, agencies, coordination with utility companies, as required, temporary facilities required by local or state law and regulation. The cost of required insurance and bonds, submission of drawings, permits and other expenses required for the start of work should be included. This item shall include the cost to mobilize and demobilize to the location of the New Braintree Elementary School Boiler project. 2. Cut heating boiler free from system supply and return oil supply and exhaust. 3. Bring the old boiler out of the building and discard. 4. Supply a new cast iron boiler with a minimum of 1,700 MBTU output that meets all the minimal requirements and controls to safeguard life, property, and public welfare from the hazard of fire and explosion. The heating unit must be capable of cold start operation. 5. Install the new boiler sections and assemble the block on the existing frame 6. Pressure test the block and then assemble the new jacket. 7. Tie in the supply, electrical controls to the boiler, and return piping. The contractor is responsible to tie-in the proposed equipment with the current Johnson Controls System and tie-in to the existing Citizen Security System. 8. Connect exhaust to existing breeching with welded pipe and fittings. 9. Hang the new burner and connect oil lines to existing oil piping and tiger loop unit. 10. Tie in water supply with automatic feeder reusing the backflows preventer. 11. Check pressure in expansion tank before refilling the system. 12. Replace high vent on top of air separator. 13. Refill system and open all supply and return valves. 14. Start boiler and tune new burner with technician and combustion analyzer. 15. Replace any pipe insulation that was removed for installation with new fiberglass insulation. 16. Place the boiler back into service. 17. Clean up the area. 18. Provide a copy of the manual of operation to the Fire Chief. 19. Provide manufacturers' 10-year commercial warranty and installers' one-year warranty.
