Q & A deadline: Nov 29, 2023 1:00:00 PM EST The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside serves the 2.2 million residents of Riverside County through 15 court locations in three geographical regions - Desert, Mid-County and Western. Located in the heart of Southern California, Riverside County encompasses 28 cities, over 7,300 square miles, and ranks among the nation's fastest growing, and the state's most populous, counties. In addition to judges and commissioners, the Court has over 1,100 employees. The Court is seeking proposals for Court-wide Plumbing Services. The Court intends to issue one or more contracts to qualified Contractors to establish a bank or pool of Contractors to provide services for projects on as as-needed basis. PUBLIC WORKS / PREVAILING WAGES: This is a Public Works project and is subject to the Prevailing Wage rules and regulations imposed by the California Labor Code and the California Code of Regulations. To be qualified to bid, all contractors and subcontractors must be properly Contractor Requirements: Contractor(s) shall supply all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and all effort necessary required to repair, retrofit, or for the replacement of plumbing systems and products used in all Superior Court occupied buildings. Rented and Owned Equipment: Machinery/equipment that will be considered as an additional cost and used indirectly to the plumbing industry for the performance of normal plumbing services, such as, but not limited to: Backhoes, Jackhammers and Concrete cutters These items (and other approved equipment), if rented from a rental contractor, will be allowed the rental charge plus an administrative mark-up cost not to exceed five percent (5%). The Court reserves the right to request original rental agreement documents. If owned, the equipment shall be charged per the bid rate. Emergency Call-Out Work: Emergencies that arise and must be dealt with immediately without the time for project quotes shall require the first ranked contractor to be notified. Emergencies are usually time and materials. The nature of emergency call-outs is unpredictable as far as the extensiveness of the repairs needed. Some may be simple repairs, while others can be major. Once the emergency is completed, and yet requires additional labor for total completion, the Court may provide the opportunity for all the contractors of record to quote the remaining work as a project.
