Reference Number 0000259829 (a) Metrolinx is issuing this Request to Qualify and Quote (RQQ) to retain the services of Vendor(s) and establish a VOR agreement to provide the goods and/or services described herein. Metrolinx intends to notify Proponents of acceptance of their Submissions and enter into a Contract through an open, fair, and competitive process. (b) You are invited to submit your Submission for the provision of Signals Engineering Design Services to be delivered on as needed basis for Request No.RQQ-2023-ENSC-782 and as particularly described in this Request Document as required by Metrolinx. Metrolinx is a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario under the Metrolinx Act, 2006, reporting to the Ministry of Transportation. It was created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The Metrolinx mandate includes delivering the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to an even better, more convenient service tomorrow; making the best possible use of public transportation investment dollars; and measurably improving the quality of life in the region. (a) Metrolinx requires qualified Consultants/Engineers with the necessary experience, qualifications and resources to perform the Work within Metrolinx-owned railway right-of-way, on an as required, emergent basis. (b) The Work may include the provision of: preliminary design; detailed design; preparation of tender documents; costing; document preparation; scheduling; conducting worksite inspections and producing written reports on worksite inspections; maintaining the position as owner's representative (engineer of record) and all associated responsibilities; supervision of construction, including but not limited to field administration, and managing survey activities; computation and drafting support; and management of services for Work to be completed on an as required basis, pertaining to Metrolinx Signals & Communications. Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
