Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Joliet, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Joliet is in the process of replacing the Rosalind Street Culvert over the existing storm water channel. A project location map is attached. The proposed work will include replacing the existing 6' x 6' Box Culvert & Headwall with approximately 50 feet of new 6' x 6' Precast Box Culvert with Precast 45 Degree Headwalls per IDOT and AASHTO Specifications, utility relocations, and all related project issues. The anticipated total construction cost of the structure is $500,000.00 (2022 estimate). The City of Joliet has received a ARPA Grant funding from The County of Will for this project. A contract for Phase II engineering services will be awarded when the funding is available. The selection of consultant for this project will be from the SOQ and/or interview process. The City of Joliet is requesting Phase II engineering services for the proposed Rosalind Street Culvert Replacement. These services will include, but not be limited to a site survey, analysis, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates, utility relocation coordination, securing the necessary permits from regulatory agencies, any other activities needed to have the project ready for a spring 2024 letting. Phase II Engineering to be completed by February 2024. Rosalind Street Culvert Replacement Improvement Project Letting by April 2024. Note: (Dates subject to change depending on funding availability) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
