As of January 12, 2024, project was awarded to Champion Cleaning Specialists, Inc., awarded amount is $466,660.12. The project consists of the rehabilitation of existing gravity sanitary sewer lines by the Cured In-Place Pipe Process (CIPP). The project will include lining approximately 10,208 linear feet of 8" Sanitary Sewer Pipe, 930 linear feet of 12" Sanitary Sewer Pipe, 138 linear feet of 10" Sanitary Sewer Pipe, 135 linear feet of 12" Storm Sewer Pipe, and the reinstatement of 147 Sanitary Sewer Laterals all in the Borough of State College. Each bid is to be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid and made payable to the Borough of State College. All bids will be presented to the State College Borough Council at a public meeting. The Borough Council may then accept or reject any or all bids or hold all bids for a period of 45 days from the date of Bid Opening before making a decision. Bids shall remain irrevocable for 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants; in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved Nov. 26, 1978. All questions pertaining to the meaning or intent of Bid Documents shall be directed to the Borough Engineer no less than 4 business days before the Bid Opening date. Questions received after this date will not be answered.
