Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Watertown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The successful bidder will be required to supply all labor, materials and equipment to perform the Ohio Street Watermain Replacement Project as shown on the contract drawings, specifications, and bidding documents and as directed by the City Engineer including, but not limited to the following: 1. Excavation of trenches to include curbs, asphalt, miscellaneous infrastructure within and along the city street, necessary to facilitate watermain replacement. 2. Installation of watermains and services, hydrants, tapping and connections to adjacent mains, testing and disinfection of watermain and services and reconnection of services. 3. Cutting, capping and abandonment of existing piping. 4. Restoration, patching and repair of impacted asphalt streets and driveways, concrete curbs, sidewalks and miscellaneous infrastructure. 5. Provide traffic control and daily maintenance of project area and crossing streets. 6. Coordinate with City and the local utility companies regarding water, sewer, gas, electric and communication utilities within the project area. 7. Replace topsoil, and restore lawn areas. 8. This watermain infrastructure construction project is funded in part with Federal funds through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) The project site is located on Ohio Street and consisting of Project Description and illustrated in the drawings portion of this bid. The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five per centum (5%) of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the total amount of the accepted bid and in such form and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies as are approved by the City Council. Insurance carrier must have principal office in New York State or be authorized to do business in New York State.
