Fire Protection Wet/Dry Sprinkler Testing & Repairs. The City of Lawrence Department of Public Works is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide Fire Protection Wet/Dry Sprinkler Testing & Repairs in all city and school buildings on an as needed basis for a three-year contract period. Questions concerning this IFB must ONLY be submitted in writing to Glenn Gary, before 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023. Questions may be emailed to ggary@cityoflawrence.com. Written responses will be emailed to all bidders on record as having received the IFB package. Bid Deposit: Bidders must submit a five percent (5%) bid deposit with their bid. Payment & Performance Bond Requirements: The bidder awarded the contract is required to submit within (5) five days a 50% Payment; drawn on a responsible bank or trust company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and made payable to the City of Lawrence. The City reserves the right to cancel this IFB, or reject in whole or in party any and all bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the City. The bidder awarded the contract for Fire Protection System Testing & Repairs will be required to perform the following tasks on an as needed basis throughout the contract period. Fire sprinkler tests shall be performed only once per year during the contract period. All fire pump testing shall be performed during the day. Vendor must contact the Building Facilities Manager to schedule any testing and inspections. The City's contracted fire alarm company will be present during all fire sprinkler testing.
