The City of Jonesville is accepting sealed bids for the labor and materials for the installation of a 26kW natural gas standby generator for the Jonesville Fire Department and consolidation of electrical services. The generator unit shall be a Kohler Model 26RCAL, or approved equivalent. The project includes the following components: STANDBY GENERATOR: The contractor shall provide labor and materials for the installation and connection of one new 26kW natural gas standby generator to serve the Fire Department Truck Bay and Annex. Installation shall include an automatic transfer switch and connection to natural gas. CONSOLIDATION OF ELECTRICAL SERVICES: The Jonesville Fire Department includes Truck Bays, and an Annex that houses offices, meeting space and a kitchen. The Annex and Truck Bay each have a separate electric service. Currently, the annex is served by the standby generator at the Police Department. The contractor shall terminate the connection to the Police Department generator, remove one existing electric meter at the Fire Department, and the the Annex electrical service and Truck Bay electrical services together into a single service. The City will award the work to the firm having the combination of price, qualifications, experience, and scheduling most advantageous to the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any proposal.
