The project generally includes the construction of a 2,500 feet of gravity sewer system, sanitary sewer pump station, and approximately 1,500 feet of 4" force main, 14,000 feet of lower pressure force main, 26 simplex grinder pump stations, 12 duplex grinder pump stations and other appurtenant and related items of work. Bids received after the above specified time for opening will be returned unopened to the sender. Each bidder shall submit with his bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in the state of Louisiana, and who is residing in Louisiana. The amount of this check shall be five (5%) percent of the amount bid and shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract should it be awarded to him. Checks or bonds shall be payable to the Town of Henderson, Louisiana. Contractors submitting bids shall be licensed under Louisiana License No. R.S. 37:2150-2164 and shall be classified under Municipal & Public Works construction. The Bidder shall show his license number on the bid and on the sealed envelope submitting the bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Each bid shall be submitted only on the Contractor's Bid Form furnished by the Engineer. Funding for this project shall be through the American Rescue Plan Act Water Sector Program. Refer to the Special Conditions for special requirements. Attention to Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to all applicable laws and regulations of the State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
