The work consists of the demolition of structures and any outbuildings or other appurtenances; removal and proper disposal of all materials; clearing, leveling, seeding, and fertilizing of the site; and associated environmental reporting and miscellaneous work. For residential structures, only bids from prime contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law for bids exceeding $7,500.00 will be considered. For commercial structures, only bids from prime contractors licensed for bids exceeding $50,000.00 will be considered. Contractors and subcontractors must hold proper licenses for hazardous materials (asbestos removal and abatement) for structures determined to have such materials. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with requirements regarding employment conditions, equal employment opportunities, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Bidders must have an active UEI number and SAM Cage Code prior to construction and throughout the contract term. Bid submission requires a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid price, and performance and payment bonds of not less than 100% of the contract price. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Bidders may obtain bidding documents from the Design Engineer and are responsible for reproduction costs if electronic copies are acquired.
