The University of Nebraska is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all labor, materials and equipment associated with modifications to an existing air handling unit to replace the existing refrigerant cooling coil section with a new chilled water-cooling coil section, removal of the existing refrigerant condensing unit and compressor, recovery of refrigerant and removal of existing refrigerant lines; installation of new underground chilled water piping including connections to existing distribution mains, earthwork, pavement removals and replacements, installation of new chilled water piping within the building with final connections to the new chilled water coil; interior building modifications to construct a new mechanical chase and bulkhead for piping, restoration of interior room finishes; flushing and cleaning of new chilled water piping. New instrumentation, chilled water control valve and testing/balancing will be provided by the University.
