The City of Pigeon Forge is receiving bids on treatment chemicals for the water plant 1. The Hydrofluorosilicic Acid shall comply with the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act and other federal regulations for potable water, as applicable. 2. All provisions of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard for Fluorosilicic Acid ANSI/AWWA B703-19, or its most recent revision, shall apply to this specification as minimum standards. 3. The Fluorosilicic Acid shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals-Health Effects. 4. Fluorosilicic Acid shall contain 23-25% H2S1F6 by weight. 5. All deliveries will be made in a timely manner and must be between the hours 7 AM and 3 PM Monday thru Friday. 6. Method of delivery must be in totes or drums with each container clearly labeled. 7. Orders will be at between 600 and 700 gallons per order and at 5-7 times per year. 8. Each delivery must contain a Certificate of Analysis which includes the following information: Name of product Lot number Fluorosilicic Acid (HzSiFe), % by weight Specific gravity Color Printed name of analyst 9. Receiving tank inlet is at 20 feet elevation. 10. Chemical will be analyzed by plant personnel before being allowed to off-load 11. Any surcharges such as fuel or insurance must be stated on bid sheet. If surcharges are not disclosed at time of bid opening, they will not be accepted. 12. Any bid opened and accepted by the City of Pigeon Forge shall be in effect from January 1, 2024 until December 31, 2024. 13. Bid price will be good for one year with the option of extending bid price for an additional year period if City and winning bidder agree. 14.
