This Contract is for Alliston Groundwater Optimization Phase 1 - Test Wells and Standby Production Wells project, located at Well 5 site at 6854 Industrial Parkway and Well 4/6 site located at 4262 Tottenham Road in the Town of New Tecumseth. The work includes, but is not limited to, drilling and soil sampling of two 150mm dia. test wells (one at each site), construct, grout, develop, step test and complete a short constant rate pumping test of two test wells, including discharge of pumped water to comply with permit. If the conditions are not successful, another test well will need to be drilled until suitable conditions are found. If conditions prove successful, leave the 150 mm diameter test well as a monitor well (unless directed to abandon test well) and drill a permanent production well offset from the test well. The contractor should propose the well type and design for each production well for review and approval. Wells are to be constructed according to Ontario Regulation 903 as Amended, AWWA 100-20, 2019 Draft MECP GUDI Guidelines and will follow best practices for municipal wells. Contractor to perform a complete well development, geophysical logging, step testing and a short-term pumping test to confirm production rates.
