Vermont State Parks sells camping firewood to park visitors. This program achieves several goals: 1) provide a source of firewood that is reliable and affordable and will deter visitors from cutting park trees or transporting firewood that may carry undesirable or invasive species; and 2) provide a quality camping experience with a fire that burns in a manner that allows those who choose to use it as a heat source for cooking, as well as a safe pleasant fire around which to gather. To meet this demand and provide high-quality firewood to its customers, State Parks intends to contract with one or more vendors to provide firewood as defined for the 2024 Est.
